Aboriginal Heritage Tasmania is a Branch within the Natural and Cultural Heritage Division of the Department of Primary Industries, Parks, Water and Environment. Aboriginal Heritage Tasmania works with the community to promote the recognition, protection and management of Tasmania’s unique Aboriginal heritage.

Aboriginal Heritage Tasmania records, protects and manages Aboriginal heritage and is responsible for the administration of the Aboriginal Heritage Act 1975​​.
